The GL2 for depos!

I'm interested in buying a GL2 and using it to shoot legal depositions. Is this the camera to use? If anyone else does, what kind of audio setup do you have to go with it? Thanks,

Jay.

the problem with any miniDV is you are limited to one hour tape.
You should consider this if your depos. could be longer.
Using Long Play speed is never recommended due to random playability on other equipment.
Additionally, tape can be erased, damaged.
DVD-R burner can store easily 2 hours, are easy to store, can be read into any DVD player.
The cost of a cheap miniDV (for the cam and as backup recorder) + a standalone DVD burner could give you a better insurance of having something important properly recorded.
You can even run the devices in a different rooms so if the camera should be damaged during the depo, the record is safe into the DVD burner.

Do a Search on "deposition" and you'll find hundreds of posts on this frequent topic. Also try to get a copy of the current issue of Videography magazine, which features this subject as the cover story.
