Audio Glitches

I have started to experience audio glitches with my GL2. I first noticed it with a big project I did about a year ago-only one tape out of 8 was affected at this time and I hadn't seen it again until recently...What I am hearing is a sort of "metallic" ping beneath the audio. When I look at the waveform in FCP it's definitely broken in spots but not necesarrily in both channels at the same time. Any thoughts?

Try to capture with different camera or deck. Maybe that can help. I've heard about that problems, but in LP mode.

Seems like a tape drop out. Is the first sign that the tape is worn. After this you'll start experiencing video glitches.
