Upgrading your XM2/GL2
 
Hi i have been hearing many storys about people uprading there gl2 about taking out the 3 X 1/4 CCD and putting 3 amazing 1/2 inch CCDs. have any of you heard about this? also is it possible to do this.

Bigger chips would mean a bigger lens, so you're into a new camera body to start with...
You're looking at a completely different camera.

that is what i thought. i looked further into this and ive been trying to find the site. i agree that you would need a bigger lens also i think you would need a brand new body.

yea it would probably cost more to upgrade the thing than buy say a Sony DSR-450WSP. And for people who dont know what this camera is, its a 2/3 inch broadcast camera.
