GL2: How do I get TIMECODE to show up on VHS dub?

Hi,
I have my GL2 hooked up to my VCR using the A/V cable.

I need to display TIMECODE on the VHS tpae for my client to choose their preferred shots.

Page 38 of the GL2 manual says that I have to do two things:

1. Set Guide Info to D/T display in DISP SET UP in CAMERA mode
2. Press the Data/Display code button to show time code

When I do this and press the Data/Display code button, my display just switches between showing the date and not showing the date.

Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
--Steve

It's not pretty

On page 150 of the Manual.
In Disp. Set up, set TV SCREEN to ON.

This will actually copy everything on the LCD to the output.

I set TV Screen to ON, but it didn't change what I see on the TV Screen.

I didn't think this would work, but it does.

You need to push the [TV SCREEN] button on the remote control for the timecode to show up on the TV.

Thanks Joshua for figuring this out.

My pleasure bud.

On a similar note. Can you get timecode to show while you're recording? I've only been able to get the minute:second display up. Timecode would be good for logging as you shoot.

GL1 only shows H:MM:SS in the EVF when recording. Not sure about the GL2.
