mic and headphone at the same time ??

Sorry can't find it anywhere
How can I use a extern mic and check the sound with headphone at the same time when i'm recording.

What I do is this:I put a mic with mini jack on mine XM2 and a headphone
The mic does very well but I can't check the sound with mine headphone when i'm recording.
