GL2 manual settings

Hi, I have my GL2 set to manual, and when i am shooting a scene and i have to turn off the camera to explain something to the actors, I turn it back on and my settings are gone and it takes time to re adjust everything....Is ther anyway I can like store my settings or something like a preset...Also, can this be done with white balance?

Also. has anyone seen the movie amelie? Well, I am trying to figure out how to color correct my footage to give it a green color without killing my image. Does Anyone know how to color correct without making everything green?

Backup Battery?

When you say all the setting are gone, do you mean the time setting, too? If so, your backup battery may need replacing. On a GL2, you can replace it yourself. It is like a watch battery. The manual gives the specs. I bought one at Walmart. Actually it was one of the few carried by Walmart.

well, its something like that, but if i were to set like the gain to 0 and turn off the camera, it will jump up to 12db when i turn it back on. Is that still the battery?

If you use the power switch to turn it OFF/ON, all setting will drop to their default setting when you turn the camcorder back on..

However, if you power down using the Standby/Lock switch, most manual settings will be retained when you restart by moving the switch from Lock to Standby.

BTW: A bad or missing backup battery should give a viewfinder indication.

Does this solve your problem.
