Color tint on GL2

When i recorded a test shot in doors the other day I ended up with weird tint/hue on faces. The color was wrong even tho i lit the scene with 4 point lighting, all lights being 3200k and camera white balanced from a white sheet of paper. Once i recorded i easily corrected in post. But. Is there a better technique that will allow me to record as my eye sees it?

What kind of lighting?
Was the white balance card where the faces were?
Anything special about the faces, make-up, etc.?
Any change in natural, ambient, or daylight entering the venue after white balance?
Was the camera in full manual or an automatic mode?
Any change in image or room content that could have cast some color to the faces; e.g., bright colored shirts?

The lighting was from 2 fresnels 1k each, an 500w Omni for back light, and 500w work light for background.
The camera was in manual mode. White card was at face level. I may have had room light turned on too, that would be 180W incandescent. Outside was night time, so no daylight at all.
When i said faces were the wrong color, I should have said everything was the wrong color. I would say it was too saturated. I then went into the camera menus and toned down the color gain to 1 notch below center, but that didn't completely fix the color rendition. Color Phase setting is on center.
