Compatability of GL-2's w/ cannon Vixia HV-30?? at DVinfo.net

My wife and I use 2 Cannon GL-2's for our wedding & event videography, we also use a
third camera ( Sony 1 chipper) at the back of the sanctuary for a wide shot and to cut
back to when the need arises.We are concidering buying a Cannon Vixia HV-30 to replace
the sony, instead of buying another GL-2 (cost reasons).
Will this be a logical choice?? I know the editing will envolve mixing SD DV w/ HD DV.
and will the footage of cameras be too different??
We edit on Sony Vegas 8.0c

Vixia will shoot SD, either 4.3 or 16:9, or you can capture HDV in Vegas, and down rez in post. I mix this camera (actually HV20) with my Sony cameras footage (FX1 and VX2000) with good results. You will need to try to match things, even in post, but the HV30 does have an array of adjustments that can get you close.
