HG10 Review/clips on watch-impress at DVinfo.net

Anyone knows how to play mts files? There are also 2 mpg files.

First thing I checked was audio. Unfortunately he always seem to have some loud constant cricket (?) sound in his environment. The wind noise is at least comparable but I didn't hear motor noise as far as I can tell.

Looking at this footage I don't see any AVCHD compression artifacts. I do wonder though if the HG10 is less sharp to the eye. Their comparison pictures show a visible fine sharpness loss and their theory it's the compression. However seems very unlikely with these bitrates and the loss of contrast/sharpness, they should have tested with sharpness and especially contrast +1. Probably Canon lowered it.
