Charge a 3rd party battery through camera?

I am contemplating an HV30 purchase with a larger 3rd party battery. Do I need to buy a 3rd party charger or can you hook up the camera to an outlet and charge the battery through the camera?

Bought a third party battery last week for the HV30 - charges up fine with the camera, it is not essential to buy a charger.

Spend the money for an auxiliary charger. It is a major convenience to be able to have one battery charging while using the camera with another battery. Using the supplied charger only charges the battery while the camera is in the off position. And not having the camera tethered to a cord is a plus in several ways.

I'm okay with that. I will only be using this camera to film a wide shot during wedding ceremonies (15-20 minutes in length usually). I'll just be charging the battery when I'm back at the office. Thanks, though.
