HF100 Footage Creating Log and Transfer Glitch in FCP 7

Hey All,

My problem is with the Log and Transfer window in FCP 7 (same problem in 6 too). Footage that I've shot on my HF100 and dumped to a local drive with AVCHD folder structure intact causes a glitch in Log and Transfer where the timeline cursor jumps to the end of the clip. This makes it so that it is impossible to scrub through parts of the video and set in and out points as well. It only happens on clips that are over roughly half an hour, short clips are fine.

Potential workarounds are:
-Watching the video the whole way through and writing down in and out points to insert later manually.
-Importing the entire clip and then choosing the desired portions from the entire transcoded clip later.

However, these both cause major bottlenecks in my workflow both in terms of time and storage space, so I'd really like to see if anyone has figured out something better.

Thanks!
