Lens hood for HV30

Can anyone verify that the following lens hood works with the HV30?

You got me searching for it on Amazon over here - no joy, but I did find these:
Camcorder-Gegenlichtblende Enjoyyourcamera DV-s 43mm kaufen im Enjoyyourcamera.com Shop
and
Camcorder-Gegenlichtblende Enjoyyourcamera DV-b 43mm kaufen im Enjoyyourcamera.com Shop

These look interesting too.

I had never heard of this store so caveat emptor. Here's their contact page:

As I'm sure you read, there are a couple who bought and used it with good results, but one person says it interferes with the sensor...looks great though, what a nice looking low cost solution.

I use the Canon XH1 lens hood together with my Raynox 6600 Pro. It fits very well - just push it on. The downside is that it will block the i.AF so you have to set it to AF instead. But I think that is the same for all wider lens hoods...

Any lens adapter attached to the front will block the iAF sensor. I turned it off using regular AF anyway. Not much difference.

I believe I'm the first one who came up the idea using the XH-A1 hood on Canon WD-H43 WA lens back in 2007. Since Raynox 6600 has the same front size, the lens hood fit on it too.

Certainly works with HV20. I feel it's worth its weight in gold for what it does to make the little camera look more "pro." Kind of like a Sony HC1.

Works well with HV40 - filed down right edge slightly with a rat tail file, no interference with IF.

IF works slightly better if you shoot 24p. (24f, whatever).

Jeff,

That's the one I bought off ebay. No problems.
