anyone seen pulsating reds in hdv from hv10?
 

i did some test clips today between the hv10, the Sony HC1, and the Sony FX1 and I noticed that in the HV10 clip, red elements in the scene seemed to undulate in the captured footage. I did shoot this from a tripod and it was of a still scene (no other motion at all). I didn't see this poblem in the HC1 or FX1 footage. anyone else with the HV10 ever see something like this?

on the other hand, the HV10 quality was better than both the FX1 (2nd best) and the HC1 (worst), and showed the most detail.

edit: as an example of what I'm referring to, check out this clip http://citv.dip.jp/sansansan/video/H...fx1/hv10-6.m2t (from this site http://translate.google.com/translat...hv10vsfx1.html) if you put the clip in an editor (e.g., premiere pro 2) or a viewer and look closely at the red hat on the mouse - you can zoom to 200% to see it more clearly - you'll see that the red pulses.

btw - i also noticed this on some hv10 clips that others have posted to this forum.

not a really big deal to me, but just an observation.

The whole middle section shakes (or vibrates) when played back in MPEG Streamclip (Mac OS X) - but it plays fine in VLC ??

It also is trouble free when exported from MPEG Streamclip ??

Maybe a corrupt file ?

i just used the clip in the previous post as an example - unfortunately, it's not just that clip.

if you play the Chinese Charms clip from about 2 seconds in until about 6 seconds when the camera isn't panning, you can see the red flicker at the edge of ornament against the gold front. it's subtle, but definitely happening
