HV10 HDV downsampled to DV better than DVX?

Hi guys, which would you think would produce better end results (sharpness, color, dynamic range, etc)....HDV footage from a HV10 downsampled (downscaled??) to DV or DVX100B footage straight from the camera?

I'm about to pickup a HV10 tomorrow from B&H but was wondering if the HV10's resolution would yield superior results to that of a DVX100B, which is amongst the best of the DV sd cameras. My initial videos will likely end up as SD DVD's so the immediate resolution gain of the HV10 will be negated....but it's HDV properties make it "future-ready".....so I'm wondering if the downsampled footage will actually be "nicer/sharper" than the DVX- what do you guys think?

Should HDV source footage be considered a better solution or use the best SD has to offer now.....questions, questions, questions.....

Thanks guys, opinions wanted (although I think I know how this is going to go)

If you are going to make the final product Progressive Scan, the HV10 makes _sharper_ picture.

HV10 has quite poor low light performance, so I would prefer a good 3ccd SD cam over HV10 in any indoors shooting if the final footage will be in SD format.
