creating 720p and HV10 recording
how do I best convert the HV10's 1080i to 720p? if it helps I'm a mac user.
also, can I play out my finished 25F sequences to the HV10 (mixture of A1 and HV10 at 720p)? will it record the progressive ok as I know it only plays back the 25F and doesn't record it? sorry if it's a stupid qu! how are the rest of you 'HV10 as a deck' users doing it? thanks. |
For the absolute best quality I would import the HDV into After Effects, run Magic Bullet and Deartifacter on it, then resize it to 1280x720 in after effects and render it out. Though this is a little involved and time consuming. You can probably get results almost as good just by deinterlacing and resizing in your editor or compression program.
I assume there would be interlacing problems if you didn't deinterlace before resizing but I could be wrong. |

Like I said, you can get pretty good video from just deinterlacing and resizing in your editor or compression app of choice. However when I need the absolute best quality MB + Deartifacter can't be beat for image quality. The deartifacter will take away the blocking around anything red which is something I notice for sure.
