I got a set of 43mm macro filters for $12, and they really let you get right in there!

The rock doves nesting on my back porch will have new videos posted of them regularly.

Keegan,
Nice selection of footage.

A couple of questions?

Have you found anywhere in Boston that carries video supplies? I have been to Camuet and Hunts in Melrose. But it seems Boston is slim pickings.

The Macro filters are cool, where did you find them?

Also, what did you build your website with?, iWeb????

Thanks,
Jay

I highly recommend Newtonville Camera - http://www.nvcamera.com/
A great local shop with excellent service and sales. I've purchased many things over the years from them, and keep going back. I actually picked up my HV20 from them a few weeks ago, and just recently got a Bogen 701RC2 head. It's a really nice place.

Thanks for posting. The clips look really nice.

I order most of my supplies from Adorama.com or b&h. In terms of website, it is mostly dreamweaver, photoshop web galleries, and these pages are a little php script I got from a friend--you just drop it in the folder and it creates what you see.

great footage. could you post a link to the filter you used for the Macro?

Thanks

Ian Albinson April 23rd, 2007 05:24 PM

I can answer that, since we're pals and I recommended them to him! Bought them from a online place called 2filter.com

Here's a direct link to their full list of close up lenses-

The first 43mm Sunpak set is what we both have, and it's on clearance at the moment, so don't be fooled by the $27.77. Add it to your cart to see the $12 sale price. 2filter.com is another great store (local to PA residents) that offers excellent service and pricing.

Nice Clips. I have a question. But with the HV20, in order to use a DOF adapter, do we need one of these diopters (or macros)? If so can you recomend a good one? I understand the glass has to be of good quality, especially with High Definition. Thanks.

Again, it is people like you who make me want to wait even longer for my A1 and just get the HV20 to have as a "spare" camera.

I begin to wonder ....

thanks for these amazing clips!

Nice job. I would love to get my hands on a copy of that php script, as I am always putting photos and now video files for my friends to download. That UI is nice.

Keep shooting and thanks for the 2filter link
Tthanks,
Jay
