HV20 & HDMI - nanoConnect?

Has anyone had any experience with nanoConnect? This thing is currently on sale for $395 (reg $495) and it allows uncompressed HD-SDI via the cam's HDMI out. Would this be a good setup. Barring any available 10 bit solution (I can't afford an HVX200 with reelstream's hydra setup), is this a option that will produce better a better quality image that is worth it? I'm interested in that Sony Cinealta cam XDCAM EX coming out in a few months. The 1/2 inch chips sound nice, but with 4:2:0 "output" and an 8K pricetag, the whole thing is beginning to turn me off. At the Konvas 35mm movie camera forum they have a saying that pops up a bit, something like " 'Better than' is the enemy of 'good enough' ". Are we getting spoiled by the technology to the point that we are willing to spend too much. I'm not a professional, and just want to toy around with some greenscreen. Using the money for lights, etc. might be a better way to spend my buck.....Anyway, back to the original question - Anyone used the nanoConnect?
How much better is uncompressed 4:2:2 out? Anyone able to post a side-by-side comparison?

HDMI to HD-SDI allows for long cable runs, longer than HDMI runs, which allows for flexiablity for the camera - jibs, tracking shots, movement, etc and video-village can be further away, all while still capturing digital 1080 HD.

Well, 'Better Than' .. even though it's a cheap HV20 each of us own, in my opinion and experience, it's 'better than' a Sony Z1U which is $3500-$4000 CDN more! I prefer the resolotion, latitude and lack of grain from the Canon by far.

Anyhow, like the example you were giving, I've dumped a good hunk of cash into my support system for the HV20 - Mac Pro, 35mm Lens system, 4x250GB RAID, Decklink Extreme HD-SDI card, long HD-SDI cables, and now I have a nanoConnect coming. All the supporting technology has added up to much more than the HV20, but, all necessary to get proper 4:2:2 HD I believe - would rather have a 4:2:2 HD 24P CMOS HV20 than an XH-G1 and no money to purchase a computer to capture uncompressed 4:2:2 and edit with ;)

I believe the nanoConnect could/should be a viable tool to be used.. my HV20 has been sent away for repair/replacement, but next chance I get to use an HV20 with the nanoConnect, I'll be sure to post the results here.
