More HV10 Footage... 30p > 24p!

Being easier to work with for one thing... and you can grab an Hv10 for $800...

60i to 30p is zero-effort with Vegas... change the project settings to progressive scan + interpolate fields and Wallah... Perfect 30p

Either way... here's some more fun stuff... Didn't realize it was so compressed, had some of my render settings messed up

If anyone is interested in seeing a closer to un-compressed video... I'll do a re-render and upload in a bit

More paintball footage w/ some simple editing...
Had more fun with slow motion, slow zooms and other intoresting things you can see what this camera can do :P

Ignore my tripod... $20 vanguard :( Getting a new one next week :D

Nice video. I'm uploading mine to super duper megaupload (no server ftl). Of course your vid is going to put mine to shame.

Very cool video and good choice of music.
But it ends abruptly, I guess you wanted to get it shorter for the web.

One thing you could do to even make it look better: add contrast and/or use some film look filter.

Brilliant! I love the editing and the shallow depth of field. Looks quite professional. What shutter speed did you use?

Derrick A.Jones May 12th, 2007 11:23 AM

The footage looked great. I love the Depth of field Perception also. Very clean video. Some people are always hooked that you have to have something bigger. But they don't know some of these smaller cams pack a better punch also. Ill be looking for one of those now. Canon makes great Cams

It was meant to be cut-off... it's only what I have edited

I have 2 terabytes of bandwidth and 200 gigs of space on my server, so it's really not a big deal to put more up...

It's just a preview though :)

Shutter was a mix of 1/1000 and 1/2000 Just depended on how bright it was out, we had some overcast moments so I dropped it to 1/1000 but for most of it 1/2000 specifically so you can see the balls in the air

My setup right now...

Thanks Joe, really enjoyed that. Great subject following on a $20 tripod :))

Joe Busch May 12th, 2007 01:09 PM

Haha, well any of the low-angle grass stuff was handheld... but the rest of it was tripod..

have a Bogen 501 and 541 Legs (I think that's the number) coming next week, We'll see how the footage from that turns out :)

Less compression, played w/ the saturation (might be too much ;) )

Transferring Canon HV10 to FCE

I'm having major problems. Please tell me that the HV10 is compatible with a MacBook.
