just got my hv20!
I'm trying to figure things out here. Is it possible to change the aperture manually AND the shutter speed at the same time? Because right now, to me, it seems like you can only make one manual and the other is auto. Can somepne please clarify this up?

Jason,
http://www.dvxuser.com/V6/showthread.php?t=96503 Explains all. It's a bit confusing to read, but is very easy when you do it. Good luck! Jason |
Open menu. Select TV mode. Close menu. Up and down arrows should be showing in shutter speed in display. Set shutter speed you want.
Press Toggle button. Select down until EXP is in toggle icon, select up, then side to side to increase or decrease exposure. This effectively adjusts aperature and gain, hopefully aperature first. Thats as manual as it gets... |
wow that is great! Thanks!!

If you select AV, and do same, then Aperture is priority. If you select Cine mode, then camera selects both shutter speed and aperature as you go through up or down exposure slider.
You can physically check the settings, if you have a memory chip in the camera by activating the photo while filming mode in the menu system, and then by pressing photo button half way down to get a read out of the setting that will be employed. |
