playback problem
 

Strange. I've had this hv 20 for about two weeks now and it has worked fine. But when I popped in a cassette this morning to review, it shows no time code and no images (it will show the time remaining on the cassette).

I've put in several tapes, including some I've already reviewed and copied onto a hard drive, but now it shows nothing.

Any ideas?

May be dirty heads? Have you tried cleaning tape?

I presume that you haven't got the tape/card switch set to "card"?

Tried the tape cleaner, and yup, did the trick. It's gotten me to thinking, however, that it would be nice to invest in a tape payback machine...
