2GB file size limit on XA10?

Hello - super interested in the XA10 camera (whenever it is released). Does anyone know if there is the 2GB file size limit that seems inherent to most AVCHD cameras?

Re: 2GB file size limit on XA10?

I don't know about the 2GB limit, but this article says that SDXC and the FAT32 filesystem it uses is limited to 4GB:

Introducing SDXC and exFAT in Apple Mac OS X – Stephen Foskett, Pack Rat

Interestingly enough, the manual for the HF G10 says that Mac OS X doesn't support SDXC (as at October 2010) though the above article suggests otherwise.

Also, the manual says that there will be a short pause in recording after 12 hours of recording, no matter how large a card you are using...
