Canon XF Plugin for Final Cut Pro - download

Hi, I'm looking for a place to download "Canon XF Plugin for Final Cut Pro". A client of mine installed it on his computer from my disk last September. They edited the footage no problem. Two months later, the same client hired me and I transfered new footage to their hard drive. Now they're back in Houston and they tell me "oh, we got a new computer since last time, can you please let me know where to find the plugin for Final Cut." (I'm in NYC). I'm stunned that I've been unable to locate the plugin online -- neither Canon nor Apple has it. And I'm not at my studio where the instal DVD is. This is a special kind of ridiculous....it would be really excellent if somebody in the community here had the dmg file up on a web server somewhere?

Just be aware that you could be in violation of copyright laws by hosting a file that is not owned by you, and that the owner of the software (Canon) has chosen NOT to put online.
As far as I know, XF Utility only comes bundled with the camcorders. It is NOT free.

It's a really stupid decision by Canon not to have it freely available like Sony does with their software, but that is a decision that they have the right to make.
Just my 2 cents.

So, how does an out of town client edit with the XF video if they don't have the plug-in?

Note: I have removed from public view one post from a person
who made the file downloadable online; a foolish thing to do
considering that it is Canon's intellectual property which is
fully protected by copyright. Basically, an invitation to sue.

To obtain the XF -- FCP plug-in by mail, contact Canon USA
customer support by calling 1-800-652-2666. Hope this helps,
