Microphone mount for Xf100
After trying several options, I have settled on Rycote Universal Kit mount, attached with a short swing arm to the hot shoe. (I have removed the Canon microphone mount.) The Rycote unit provides excellent isolation. I also use a Remote Audio Shortie coiled XLR cable with a right-angle connector.
For the microphone, I am using a Rode NTG-1 with phantom power. I will try to provide an image, but you can see these items at the Trew Audio website (I have no affiliation with them, other than as a customer). |
