XF100 and Manfrotto monopod
 

Just want to mention that the XF100 and the Manfrotto 561BHDV-1 seem made for each other. This weekend I'm at the Catalina marathon, I'm at the 5K/10K races doing some video for friends. The Manfrotto is so easy to adjust and set up at different heights, it is very flexible and quick. I tend to leave Dynamic stabilization on and the result is extremely smooth. Also did some of an award ceremony and extended the monopod and stuck the camera up above the crowd, and looked up at the LCD - it was really effective. Also did some hand held, but right now I'm sold on the monopod.
