Can you View MXF Thumbnails in Win7 Explorer?
 
I have the Canon XF Utility. It works fine. Not asking about that.

I want to know if anybody can see the same Canon XF, MXF files as Thumbnails in Windows Explorer? My standard definition do.

Hi

I use Sony's XDCAM viewer. Once you view the thumbnails in XDCAM viewer they will then appear as thumbnails in Win 7 explorer.

Works really well

I'll have to see if that works with Canon's MXF files.

Calibrated Software makes an MXF decoder for Windows along with an MP4 EX and XD Decoder that allow you to ingest XDCAM EX and XDCAM HD files respectively turning them into .movs that are viewable in apps like Resolve where you cannot view them otherwise. Try the demos before you commit. They are not inexpensive.
