Cleaning tape

I bought and used a Sony DV Cleaning tape. A few days later I read that you should not use wet type cleaning tapes in the A1 or the heads could be damaged.
Questions:
1. Do I need to re-clean the heads with a dry cleaning tape and will it help?
2. Have I done a bad thing that can be reversed or is one cleaning with a wet tape no big deal?

I am using Sony HDV tapes so now I'm getting confused as to what to do.

Thanks
Jim

i've used sony cleaning tapes with every deck and cam i have ever owned.
6 canon dv cams to be exact w/ the dvm12cld cleaning tape. they are all still in use and have never required repair.

i also use sony tape stock exclusively – premium, excellence, and hdv.

now as far as minidv goes, the only sony cleaning tape i have ever come across is the dvm12cld ..and i'm fairly certain the "d" stands for "dry."

if this is the one you used, stick with it and don't worry.

from what i understand wet or dry doesnt matter so much as long as you stick with one or the other...

i went to buy a cleaning tape today and they only had JVC.. i use fuji hdv tapes exclusively.. should this be ok?
