FireStore: FS-4 vs. FS-C?

In the future, I'm looking to move to a Canon XH-A1 platform with FireStore.

What's the difference between the FS-4 (40 GBs, seems to be a standard unit) and the FS-C (60 GBs, made specifically for Canon cameras)? I will mainly be shooting in HDV 24f, and want to make sure the FireStore will record the 24f .m2t without glitches. Will either or both models accomplish this?

I'm hoping that it's a case of an .m2t file being an .m2t file, and nothing else. If so, it would make sense that the firestore would just capture the file without freaking out about the 24f frame rate.

It might be a good idea to go to their site and find a specific reference to whether it will record 24F or not, and if it will work with your NLE.

To answer my own question, it looks like the FS-4 will not read the 24 .m2t files, per bhphoto's pro video expert. Doh. Quite a bit more for the FS-C.

There is lots of threads on this on a separate forum. One point regarding the C model was if one should actually get a device that was "tied" to a specific product. As said, there is a lot written about this here and you might get some important info from that.
