Slow Motion from 25F

Hi,

I’ve shoot some footage using 25F on the Canon XH-A1, not realizing I wanted to show it in slow motion, is there a way to get some good slow motion out of it?

Thanks in advance,

Simon

Hi Simon. Depends how much you want to slow it down and how much motion there is to begin with, but the simple answer is not really (not counting relatively expensive solutions like Twixtor). The more you slow it, the more juddery it will be. If you apply some motion blur it will help to smooth things over, but it will never be as smooth as shooting 50i to begin with.

Slow-mo Twixtor

Hi Richard,

Thanks for your reply.

I believe a friend of mine has Twixtor, I will check with him on Monday. Would Twixtor be one of the best programs to use for slow-mo, regardless of what footage one has?

Thanks again,

Simon

Twixtor seems to be one of the best things out there for slomo.
