buying new camera

Hello everyone. I've been lurking here for a few weeks and have decided to buy an XH-A1. I played with one at an Abt store and liked the overall feel and the clips posted here look very nice.

I'm planning on ordering one from Amazon.com since its $170 cheaper than B&H. Any reason not to order from Amazon?

Are the extended warranties offered on Amazon and B&H (or anywhere else) different? Do they have good reputations taking care of problems?

Anything else I should consider?

TIA
Paul

Amazon is usually only a middleman for this type of gear, and the actual purchase comes from a dealer someplace. Almost every legitimate dealer is the same price on the XH A1, ie., $3500, and I believe the $250 rebate may still be going on. If you check out Tapeworks Texas (a sponsor here, as is B&H) you may find that they still have the free Camrade bag offer in addition to the rebate. When spending this kind of money I think it is much better to buy from a dealer who participates in this board and has a good reputation for customer service. Saving 150 bucks isn't worth a risk, and you may find that you'll get as good a deal, or often even better, from one of the well-known suppliers.
