Questions about some preset options

I'm trying to make a presets for my needs. I read Canon's documents, concerning this and studied forums, but, I still have several questions, if you please. If someone can answer at least something - it will be great.

1) Negative sharpness is really making picture more blur, or it just doesn't make is sharper? In other words: In which position sharpness function has no influence to the picture: when -9 jr when 0?

2) What is the difference between, for example, R-B color matrix option and B-R? Both are saving green, but what can be a verbal description of what they are doing with other colors.

3) Can you tell, when I better have to change HDF and DHV? I read, what is told in Canon's "Full control", but there are just common words about proportion of H- and V-details. How it really works? What is it doing?

In addition

a) Does someone know the facility to draw Gamma Curve used, basing on presets settings?

b) Does someone know the filter for Premiere, Vegas, what ever, which will allow to modify settings like color matrix in A1?

c) What kind of methodology/software are you using, when tuning color matrixes? The question is very general, but I need any kind of recommendations: what I have try to avoid and what to introduce.

Thanks a lot beforehand

I don't ask everyone to answer all the questions. If you have something to say, concerning at least one of them, this will be great :) You may type nothing - just give me the references, where to look to.
