Wedding Photo Session with XH-A1

It was shot in 60i with the Canon XH-A1 Av mode. In post, it is slowed down to 50%, color corrected to mimic a more film look, added a softening filter with a little bit of glow.

I also added a black feather around the edge overlayed with a photoshop file I created. Some of the transitions a little fast but I am okay with it.

Did they not have a ceremony?

I like the look of the video, the content and editing I'll keep to myself as I'm not so sure you're asking for any advice, just sharing your footage.

Nice work with the look and feel. That song is difficult to get going with since it has such a long intro and slow start but you did a fine job getting it going.

They do have a ceremony as well as reception in the evening. It's a complete DVD that will be mailed to them. This is more of a bonus material for them.

Feel free to share your comment. I only take those that I like.. heheh

The client picked this song. I have to fit it to a certain length.. so I remix to extend it a little. I think I'm good at it since you don't notice any awkwardness in the mix :)

My thoughts are that some of the cuts were rushed and the black fade was used too much for my taste......but that may be your editing style ;).

I prefer cross dissolves during short events and black dips during major changes of the story, either location, composition, or posing.

I do like your focus snap during the couple looking at each other, nice touch.

As for the song, I scrubbed thru the footage after 3:30 since it started getting a bit repetitive.

Hi Randy,

Thanks for your comments, well taken. I in fact have thought of using just a regular cross transitions in most of time.

Thanks

Taky
