Capture File Type?
 

Someone is telling me I am capturing wrong from my deck, because it is in .mpeg once its capture. I though what was what the canon Xh a1 recorded as and then when adobe captured it, it became an mpeg file..???

It depends on which program you use. For Premiere, it generates .mpeg file. For HDSplit or Vegas, it's a .m2t file. They are the same thing
