Christmas movie

Hi

Here is a link to a short Christmas Movie I've done together with my family. It shows what can happen if there are to much activities during the year.

We have sent it to our friends and relatives and they think it's very funny.

It's filmed with my XH-A1, factory preset 7, colour corrected a bit in post to get a warmer look. For the next film I will get some kind of lightning kit. I've used lights from ordinary lamps inside and it could have been better, but the actors (kids and wife) are too impatient to give me time to set up lightning for the scenes, and I understand them!

It's a little embarrasing to admit that it's a bit inspired by some of Steven Dempseys films, but I hope he won't be to upset about it. Good for me that he lives far away from sweden! ;-) By the way, these forums are ment to inspire others, aren't they?

The file is about 250MB so it will take some time to download.

!!!Very Entertaining!!!

Loved it. :)

Best part was when your wife came in with work for you to do. You could just see the life just drain out of you!

Hi

Thank's for your comments, nice that you liked it!

About the camera moves, I have made a simple dolly. I made it from wheels from a pair of used Inlines and some steel profiles. I put the dolly on two steel pipes directly on the floor and the tripod on the dolly. It's a very simple construction but gives a very nice result. I can put some pictures of it here if someone is interrested.

Regards,

sounds great - I'd be interested in the pictures - there is also a DIY section I think on the forum that would appreciate the post there

I recognize the Diana Krall Christmas album, which we listened to continuously over the holidays. A couple of tunes and the way she does them, including the Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas, part of which you included, are instant classics. Very nice.
