cutting my A1 with a Sony V1U
I have an upcoming shoot next week with my A1, a series of interviews against a greenscreen and hired a local HDV shooter to assist me. His camera is the Sony HVR-V1U and I'm concerned how our two cams will cut together. There's quite a bit of tweaking available on his camera, and obviously a lot I can do to my A1. But... where to begin?
I'll capture in 30F on mine, 30P on his, key the 1080p footage in After Effects and then build a timeline in PremierePro for output at 1280x720p. The smaller frame size gives me a few options in post for changing framing and cuts. And it matches my LCD projector resolution that will be used to show the videos at an event. FWIW, here's some low-rez videos of the last 720p greenscreen interview project I did with a single A1 camera, and here's a full-rez capture. Anyways, does anyone have a set of "quick and dirty" ideas to get our two cameras to output similar color? Thanks, Brian Brown BrownCow Productions |

That's some great advice, Jerome. I'll see if he and I can get together the day before the shoot and "dial 'em in".
Thanks! Brian |

I plan on using him to for several shoots this year, so we'll have to get this "balancing act" done. That is, until I can afford/justify another A1! I'd also like to buy an HV20 or 30 this year. It'$ only money. ;-) Thanks, Brian |
