Photography Studio Promo

Hi,

This is a promo that I've made for a photography studio in London of one of their shootings. It was all filmed with A1 and edited with Vegas.

hope you like it

Very nice. I liked your style of shots and music.

I felt you needed more from your interview. It needed a little more information. Maybe you could have interviewed the model for her reaction to really sell that these people are pros. Also for future reference of time lapses. Turn autofocus off so it won't hunt between your shots. You can also add cross dissolves in between each clip, you'll get a better sense of time passing.

Other than that, great job.

I liked it! you used the A1 without any adapters? did u use any custom presets? and did you tweak the color in vegas?

Guillermo Ibanez March 18th, 2008 05:08 AM

thanks!

I actually interviewed one of the models but she didn't say anything interesting, most of her answers were 'yes' or 'no' so I couldn't put anything from her but I would have loved to.

Yep, it's the A1 without adapters of any kind. I tried to shoot as neutral as I could and I tweaked the colours a bit, crushing the blacks and making the whole palette of colours a bit warmer.

Guillermo,

This is a great video! I everything about it. The style, the mood, the music and editing. All very professional.

I didn't like the audio of the woman talking, it was tinny sounding and had an echo. And like Josh, I think this video doesn't really help promote the studio due to the lack of info imparted by the interviewee. I suppose you could always re-do the interview since you only show her talking once if I'm not mistaken.

But I know how hard these things are. Your work turned out a whole lot better than my attempt as this.

possibly the wrong sound codec. Sometimes MP3 sound goes this way.

Bill Busby March 25th, 2008 04:40 PM

The dialog sounds as if it's only the built in mic. I can just barely make out what she's saying.

Guillermo Ibanez March 25th, 2008 05:55 PM

that was my fault. I recorded the interview with a directional mic but I stupidly didn't realize that there was some music playing in the background of the studio so I had to remove it with audition and I'm not very good with it so....I might have to re-record it! : (

It would be quicker to redo the sound track and just replace the clip of the narrator with another shot.
