my first post.

Hey everyone,

I figured it was about time I posted something... so here is a promo video for a government agency that I recently did. In fact, I'm still editing the final product but I just figured out this vimeo thing so I had to put on something.

Hope you like it so far... Let me know what you think.

Awesome

I liked it alot. Did you use any adapters? Really had a good feel.

If I had any critiques, it would be that the first few fade outs on the text seemed a little abrupt. This could have been a vimeo issue.

Keep the vids coming. It helps inspire a newb like me.

This is nice. Has a very nice look and feel to it. A lot of nice dolly shots too. Did you use a dolly or a slider for those shots? Also, I am always curious when I see such spot-on color & contrast... did you use presets? Color Correction? Both?

Keep 'em coming!

Thanks for your comments. I wanted to kind of step away from the typical promo corporate video, so this is what I came up with so far.

I did use an adapter (Letus Extreme) for about half of the shots. I love the picture it gives. I also used an indislider for the dolly shots. Love that too.

As far as presets, I used the TERRA 2 Preset from the Library. Gives off decent latitude and retains some richness in the color. All the color was done IN CAMERA. When I went to edit, I didn't feel I needed to touch the color at all... it came out pretty consistent with what I was looking for, which is rare. I tweaked contrast in one of the shots, that's it. So, the camera gets the credit.

Nicely done. The music and pace of the video was well matched.
I liked the concept with the border around 'more'.
The mixture of sped up, slow-mo and actual time footage worked well too.

Hi Nicholas,
That was great.
What camera?
What NLE do you edit on?

Cheers
Simon

Fantastic video brother... Gorgeous shots... What lenses were you using?

It kind of reminded me of the commercial with the "Human Element" (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i3byt7xMSCA)...

Anyway... Great job man...

Great job! Good music as well. Loved the hot air balloon shots.
