One more piece of advice needed....
I don't know what switch I hit, but I was recording outside this weekend and noticed a "NDFILTER ON" flashing in my screen. How did this get turned on to automatic...is it because I had my gain set to Auto (the switch next to the white balance?) I was filming in A (the one with the box around it) - is that the reason?
Any help on this would be great! I am thinking it is because I am in "A" mode...but should also probably turn my AGC in the off position along with my white balance? |
You have the ND filter turned on, switch located on the lens, 3 position switch off, ND1, ND2. Auto Gain should always be off unless you want the grain that will come with it.

If 'ND ON' is flashing the camera is telling you to use the ND filter.
This only happens when you have the AGC switched to 'ON'. |
Gotcha... will turn the AGC to off! That was my problem! Thanks a TON! Easy question for once!

I have, on at least two occassions, caught the ND switch part-way between settings. "ND on" flashes in the viewfinder in red. (AGC switch was "off" both times.)
