New Custom Preset Movie V2.2: Skintones

With help from my daughter I made a new version of the Custom Preset movie.
Many people asked for a version with skin. Well, you all can find it here:

I also want to thank all the people who contributed with the CP's they made. With any luck I also will bring out version 2.1, which is an updated version of the 1.0 which is still online on Vimeo. I was amazed about the number of viewers. Almost 4700!

Here you can find V1.0:

Update: Version 2.1 Is Also Online!

Version 2.1, the updated version of the 1.0, is also online now.
Covering more than 40 presets. I have also added three extra tests of the -3, +6 and +12 of Wolfgangs Presets: MINUS3, PLUS6 and PLUS12.

All three of them were tested at 0 dB GAIN and MINUS 3 @-3, PLUS 6 @+6 and PLUS12 @+12 dB GAIN.

You can find V2.1 here:

How do you know which preset to use?

I suspect the quick answer is look at the viewer and decide what's right for your eye. But, I'm also wondering if there is a methodology associated with using presets. When its 12 noon on a sunny day, is there a recommended preset? Does the subject matter impact that decision, i.e. people vs. landscapes vs. animals? I haven't looked on amazon for a "Presets for Dummies" book and I'm new to all this so I thought I'd ask.

Thanks in advance,

Dave

Red Skin

I have not really had time to play with presets and I've actually moved away from the presets and rather do everything in post however I'm getting heavy red skin tones on the default preset. Any ideas how to reduce this red tone?
