Rode SM3 or SM5?

I'm going to be purchasing a Rode NTG-2 mic and deadcat for my XH-A1 and was wondering if anyone has a preference for the hot shoe shock mount or the mic holder shock mount. Just don't know if the deadcat will show up in the picture using either of these shock mounts.

I prefer the SM5 because it frees up the hot shoe for light or wireless mic mounting. The SM3 does have the advantage of being tilt-able, though. I would measure where the SM5 would put the mic and see if the hair would get in the way. If so use the SM3 so you can tilt it upwards slightly.
