A1 Outdoor sporting event setting

I have recently had to perform a "hard reset" on my A1. Since doing so my image quality seems to be poor. Probably a result of my watching too much high quality TV.

I would like to record in 1080p.

Does anyone have any good setting's that will produce a good image for.
Outdoors (plentiful sun light)
Sporting event
Smooth slow motion
Sharp colors

Nothing fancy just solid.

I shoot a lot of outdoor horse jumping and horse shows as follows:

60i
Keep aperture around 4-5
I set the camera on AV and let the camera adjust the shutter speed. If its cloudy or not cloudy then its ok. If its partly cloudy you might have to lock the exposure so you dont get varying shutter speeds during each clip.

Use your ND filter.

I usually am looking for natural colors so no presets and just a few corrections in post when needed. ie levels, brightness, contrast and saturation.

You have to watch out for too much sun. dont let the aperture go much smaller than 5 or you'll start to get a soft image.

Thanks for the info.
I am going to do most of my play back on the web. Would I be better shooting in 30F? (Is 30F the same as 1080p?)

i would go straight 60i, at full 1080 rez. Also, I would use atleast 200 so you can slow the footage down to get ultra smooth slow motion.
