studdering video

Sorry, I'm just now making the transition to HD and have a (dumb) question:
All panning/moving shots I've seen online (mostly vimeo with HD enabled) have studder to them; is this due to characteristics of HD, quality of HD camera, compression for the internet, my not-so-great video card...or what?
Thanks very much amigos,
Randy

Yeah, it's NOT the HD format or camera, it's probably your computer or video card. My HX A1s HD stuff has no stuttering at all.

That's good news Danny..thatnks very much!

seconded, it's most likely your PC/GPU or the way it's being rendered for Vimeo / Youtube et al, or any combination of above. In fact I was shooting BMX riders over the weekend trying to obtain a good 'judder' effect in the camera - it took at lot of doing!

I thought the same thing about Vimeo...

But then i went to Firefox instead..What a difference over IE...The videos were displaying the way they were meant to be..

What frame rate are you recording at? If it is 60i it will look this way because I believe Vimeo converts to 30fps. I noticed this a year ago when I posted to Vimeo.
