Dual Video Light Mounting

1 Attachment(s)
I would like to know if there is an adapter to mount two Canon VL-10Li video lights side-by-side to my camera. I have a canon XH-A1 and want to have as much light as possible. Any such thing available.

Re: Dual Video Light Mounting

you can use something like this to mount them side by side on top of the camera

THIS WOULD BE "PERFECT". I however need clarification as to if this adapter will face my lights FORWARD or SIDEWAYS. Obviously I need them both to face "forward". My question is with my light and it's shoe. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

can't really tell from the side, maybe a pic from the bottom of the light would be better.

Does it fit into the shoe mount of your camera sideways? If i does then it should fit the bracket facing any way

A hot shoe mount is square, so you could orient the lights any way you see fit.

Re: Dual Video Light Mounting

My light fits into my shoe from the "rear" to "front" of camera, not from the side. This is why I am leery as to this particular type of mount. I agree that the shoe on the light is square, however there are lips only on the sides that allow the light to slide onto my camera from rear to front. The budget cold show mount is looking very good to me and thanks a lot guys for this help.

I didn't like using two lights when I tried it---even with the lights as close together physically as possibly, they can cast an unnatural double shadow--better one brighter light.
