Glitch in footage
1 Attachment(s)
Hi all! In the last two jobs I've done, a glitch seems to have crept into my XH-A1, while recording footage. Watch this short clip and you will see it...covers about 2 frames. When I am capturing the footage into Premiere Pro, I get no indication of dropped frames, so I wasn't sure whether or not that was the issue. Could this be an indication of tape drive issues, or just dirty recording heads? The good news is that Canon has one of its repair facilities in Irvine--not too far from me.
Thanks for your insights! ~TW |
Re: Glitch in footage
Looks like a dropout..
If it's a regular occurrence, you need to get your camera checked... Otherwise, tapes are known to do this from time to time.. While capturing, have the "scene detect" window checked. If the video splits off into another segment, it's definately a dropout.. |
Re: Glitch in footage
+1 on dropout, have seen enough of those during my minidv tape days.
