Pricing...

I've seen people in various threads say these are too expensive so I've decided to put my take on it here.

People saying these are too expensive are just plain wrong.

Look in decending order (based on B&H pricing):

FX1 - 3199.95
XH A1 - 3999.99 (street price could possibly be as low as 3599.95-3899.95)
Z1U - 4900.00(email me a better price = 4599.95)
HD100U - 5199.99
HD110U - 5495.00
HVX(no p2 cards) - 5499.95
XH G1 - 6999.99 (street price could possibly be as low as 6599.95-6899.95)
XL H1 - 8999.99

----------------------
Notes:

1. The FX1 is the only camcorder in the list that does not have XLR and is not produced by Sony's professional division, they don't count it as a pro camera. I put it in anyways because of people like to mention it even though the Z1 is actually the equivalent of the XH line.

2. The HVX cannot shoot HD without a firestore or a p2 card so you are realistically looking at minimum 5899.95

3. The Sony A1U retails at $2499.99(and I think has a $500 rebate) I left it off the list because it is a come chip camcorder and everything else here is three, it's not a fair comparison. The A1 is a good camera but isn't in the running with these.
----------------------

These current prices technically make the XH A1 the cheapest prosumer camera because of the FX1's lack of XLR. Even counting it, it's second cheapest.

So how is this too expensive?
