A1 and 35mm adapter
Sorry I did run a search in the XLH1 forum, nothing came up. Theres a few options maybe I just chose the wrong words on the search but maybe useful here anyway.
Question: In other cams I adjust these so am wondering what settings are people using when shooting with a 35mm adapter? particularly for the following: Sharpness Horizontal Detail Frequency DTL HV Balance Coring NR1 NR2 Thanks. Noel |
You help me find the adapter, deal? I've got the FD lenses...
Anyway, without the adapter I use the following settings in daylight outdoor lighting to add some pop... Sharpness +3 Horizontal Detail Frequency - High DTL HV Balance - 0 Coring - 0 NR1 -0 NR2 -0 also... gain (-3db) Aperture f4.8 Knee - Auto Black - stretch Gamma - Cine 1 Master Pedestal +1 Setup - 0 CMX - N CGN - 32 The sharpness would seem a little high and I'm still tweaking but it doesn't halo, but if you don't like it go the other way with it. If it's overcast or cloudy flat I would put Black on Middle and and take Master Pedestal down to 0. Noel I like the video look, many and I think yourself included prefer more filmic, thus I believe I read you like Cine 2 which crushes a little too much in the details for me, but of course you can compensate for that somewhat with the Master Pedestal setting. I'm also shooting 60i, not 24/30F. That said, the Normal Gamma setting is too videoish even for me, and I've not been able to make it work in bright conditions, blows too many highlights, just my $0.02 |
