Macro comparison with and without WA adapter

Just to give you an idea of how the macro capability compares with and without the wide angle adapter. The cup is held at an angle to show just how shallow D.O.F. is when working with macro (basically in macro mode, shallow depth of field is your enemy). This is rather unscientific; it's intended only to show how different the fields of view are. Apologies for the handheld, unprecise positioning. We'll do this again the right way later on. In both images the focus distance to the blue dots below the "R" is about 20mm. Iris f/1.6, shutter 1/60, gain 0db. Photos recorded to SD card. Compare these with the same images from the XL HD 20x and 6x lenses at http://www.dvinfo.net/conf/showthread.php?p=582131.
