Hey guys:
Do you guys know any bag for the A1? Thanks in advance. |

Lowepro commercial AW DV is what i have. Enough space for Camera, charger, cables, plenty of tape and actually a MacBookPro 15"". Very well done has a cover for the rain in the back of the bag. I don't have a wideanlge adapter but i'm sure it'll fit the camera with the adapter on. http://www.bhphotovideo.com/bnh/cont...ist&sku=224279 |
I have the petrol pwr-hdv (the one "sized" for sony hdv cam) and it works great. It's kind of small but has enough room to fit cam, wide angle converter, lens hoods, several tapes, and other misc. stuff.

Do you guys know any cheaper than $150. Thx

I use the same Lowepro, used it with my dvx before the A1, it's a great soft case.

I'm using a Hardigg Storm Case iM2600. Total overkill, even though the foam on the inside is nicely customisable and the camera fits in snugly and safely. The case is huge and heavy, however, and when I go out for a shoot, dragging this huge case, the Spiderbrace, the tripod and all the other bits and pieces, I feel like I'm moving house. The Petrol bags are not available locally, and the Lowepro bag is very pricey in this part of the world (and will take 6-8 weeks to get here). So the Storm Case was the only viable option (apart from storing the camera in its box all the time).
Carl, Jo'burg (incidentally, 32 degrees Centigrade today --- anyone want some heat?) |
I have the Petrol PCUB-1N. I think it was under $150 (but not much). I got it because I like the way the top unzips down the sides and the flap folds down. Makes it easy to get the camera in and out. One bag I would have bought had I found out about it in time was the Camrade. The U.S. dealer is a sponsor here, Tapeworks Texas (is that the right name?). I think I might have liked that one better than the Petrol. One nice thing about the Petrol, however, is the bottom. It's got a hard plastic bottom with little feet. So if you set the bag down on wet ground, the bag itself doesn't get wet.
