I'd like to know that too.

For starters, Wolfgang mentions on his website that he will still keep an NR1-Low version for more static images so that he can have smoother images even at -3db.

Well don't negative core values increase the grain in pictures?

I wish Canon had more descriptive explanations of these settings. The manual and the online descriptions keep making me think that something is missing and my ignorance continues.

Most of my Jobs do require SD, therefore my question, also regarding other settings available here: Are they 'only' designed for HDV or also usable for SD without further tweaking?
