Reccomended lens to start with for the Brevis with Nikon mount

Does any one have any reccomended lens size to start with. I ordered the Brevis 35mm adapter with the nikon mount. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have a Letus and DIY spinner, but I would look this way.

50mm 1.8 or 1.4 depending on what you can afford and or find.

Then a 28 mm, probably 2.8.

I have the 24mm 2.8, but I am not so sure that is good. Still working with it to see if I can get kinks out.

Steven Dempsey just posted footage from this forum with from his Letus and the 100 mm series E, and he loved it. I will be looking for one.

Does the fact that it is an autofocus lens hurt this as an option?

Jourdan:

Go into Ebay and search for Nikon 50mm. They always have several listed. Most of the older Nikon mounts fit the adapters, but you really should confirm with people at Cinevate what you will need.

Since we are so close, we could get together and compare the my two adapters and if you have the Cinevate, we could try my lens on it. I just bought the Letus35a, cause I'm kind of a cheap guy, but loved the Cinevate. In fact, I use their achromat on my DIY adapter.

When shooting stills my Nikon package consists of a 24mm, 35mm, 50 micro, 105mm, 135mm and 200mm. Those always got me through most things with ease, and it ought to be the same with shooting video. I never bought a standard 50mm because the 35mm was my "normal" lens.

I guess what Im trying to figure out is can the 35mm adapter work with those auto-focus/manual glass. I have posted this over at cinevate and people ask me to look for 50mm lens as well. There are a few types of 50mm lens and I just want to make sure I get one that will work with the brevis.
