Canon XH-A1 from Rome

Hi folks,
here is my first video shot with the A1... it is totally meaningless :) I just asked a friend to be filmed while we were walking... nothing special... shot in one hour and edited in half an hour :-)

http://www.mediafire.com/?8znxbafpt1s

Shot in 1080/25f, custom preset "vividrgb" and then "disjecta" from this forum, 1/50 shutter, 0db except for the very last shot which was 6db.

Edited in FCP 5, mastered on HDV tape, recaptured and encoded in H264 with Mpeg Streamclip... I can't encode in FCP quickly... I don't know why...

The clip on the web is 720p, and the digital artifacts are those of the h264 compression... can you help me improving the quality? Any suggestions?

I wait for your comments ;)

Thanks,
Alessandro

Very cinematic, Alessandro, I felt like I was watching a movie. Nice camerawork too...

Steven, to read your comment is like receiving an Oscar for me :-) You are one of the greatest XH-A1 user... your footage is always beautiful.

Can you help me with the compression? What settings did you use for your videos? They are great....

Alessandro

Thank you for the kind comments :)

The compression you are using right now is very similar to what I use. It played beautifully on my computer. For the Web, I think this is quite adequate.
